    White House reports Biden is positive for COVID-19 but exhibits mild symptoms.

    On Thursday, US President Joe Biden tested positive for COVID-19 and was quarantined at the White House to deal with seemingly mild symptoms. However, his doctor says he should respond well to treatment as he has been fully vaccinated and against the virus. In a statement announcing the president’s diagnosis, White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre said the president is taking Paxlovid, a Pfizer antiviral treatment. It is the first time Mr. Biden has contracted Coronavirus.

    White House reports Biden is positive for COVID-19 but exhibits mild symptomsIn accordance with CDC guidelines, he will isolate at the White House during which time he will continue to perform all of his duties. The president will participate in his planned meetings at the White House via Zoom and telephone from his residence today.” Mr. Biden provided an update on his health via Twitter, saying he continues to work from the White House residence.
